GhostDoc Community Edition expired. Do I have to buy a license?

No, GhostDoc Community is free for personal use. You can find out more about it here.

In case your Community edition installation prompts you for a community license activation, you might have to sign in to unlock the limitations. If not activated, the product still can be used but will be subject to daily use limitations (see Why should I activate GhostDoc Community license?)
