Hello,

The EXE setup does not detect Visual Studio 2019, only VSIX works with it.
Do you have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\SxS\VS7->15.0 registry value?

Thank you.

I have the registry value "15.0" in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\SxS\VS7" with data "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\SQL\".

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\SQL\" is an empty directory.

That registry value may have been (incorrectly) set by (installing) SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) for Visual Studio 2017.

When I manually set that registry value to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\", the exe can now detect Visual Studio 2017.

Thank you.
