Edit Rule Dialog
Problem reported by Christopher J. Millensifer - 4/16/2019 at 10:41 AM
Resolved
When editing rules, I often need to press the DOT (.) key to separate C# elements as in Context.HasExistingTag
but press this key closes the dialog without warning.
I've had to resort to copying the rule into VSCode to edit the rule then paste it back in.

Hi Christopher,

Thank you for reporting the issue. This might be an issue with the Intellisense in the Template editor.

What are the product and VS versions and editions that you are using?

It'd also be helpful if you send us the Log file. I will create a help desk ticket linked to this thread so you could provide the Log file privately.

Thanks!

VS 2019 v16.0.1 and GD 2019.0.19055 - dot closes the rules editor.
VS2017 v15.9.11 and GD 2019.0.19055 - dot does NOT close the rules editor.
VS 2015 v14.0.25431.01 Update 3 and GD 2018.2.19060 - dot does NOT close the rules editor.

Not quite sure where the log files for GD can be found.

Thank you, Christopher! I was able to reproduce the issue and it is clearly related to the Intellisense part of the dialog. We will get this fixed shortly.
