SubMain/Serge/Etc - Please help. I am getting some install weirdness. I am using VS 2015 Pro, Windows 2012 Server, using GhostDoc_v2018.2.19060 Community upgrade, just logged off and then logged back in, then I ran GhostDoc.v2018.2.19060.exe as an administrator, then I got "GhostDoc Setup - Setup has detected that Visual Studio is running. Please exit Visual Studio to ensure a clean installation - Ok | Cancel". But VS is NOT running. Clicking "Cancel" exits the setup. Clicking "Ok" is not possible. So, what to do? (I am trying the MS Fixit) as we speak, but thought you might have an idea now? Thoughts? Thanks. -- Mark Kamoski

Serge and All --

FYI, the install issue I was having has been resolved here.

Here is what I did.

-- I logged off and logged back in, and note that I cannot reboot this box at will.

-- I ran the Microsoft Fix It Tool, and it took a long time.

-- I logged off and logged back in.

-- I checked Programs And Features and did NOT see SubMain or GhostDoc there at all.

-- I logged off and logged back in.

-- I checked Task Manager and found a Visual Studio item, I know not what it was or why it was there, but it appears to launch on boot, and that stinks for me so I have to figure out what/why it is there, but for now I just killed the process in Task Manager. My guess is that it is some kind of updater or update checker or something. This, I believe, was the CULPRIT and shame on me for not checking Task Manager sooner.

-- I was wrong. It was my fault.

-- I logged off and logged back in.

-- I ran the GhostDoc update.

-- I ran Visual Studio, checked the GhostDoc version, and it was fine.

-- Done.

Thanks.
