GhostDoc hangs Visual Studio on loading solution
Problem reported by Rutger Storm - November 15 at 12:11 AM
Known
When you have a solution with a Website as project type (the project type which doesn't have a .csproj but is added directly to the sln file). And that project uses NPM and has done a npm install then you are not able to load the solution anymore. It will hang on loading that project. When you make the node_modules map hidden then it is able to load it again.

GhostDoc seems to be the cause of this. If I disable the plugin (or don't have it installed) then Visual Studio loads the solution just fine.

Hi Rutger,

I notice the version you are using was released way before the VS2017 Update you have on your machine - that may be the reason of the issue.

Please download the latest version - v2018.1.18310 - at https://submain.com/download/ghostdoc/community

If you are still experiencing the problem when using the latest version, please send us the Log file to the email in the post above.

Thanks!

Installed the new version but still experiencing the problem. The log in the specified location also keeps growing (When I killed Visual Studio it was 2.10 MB). I have send the log file to the specified email adres.
