Does GhostDoc Enterprise support combining or merging multiple solutions into one hosted website?

I am working with multiple (100's) of VS solutions.  GhostDoc works great and is easy to use.  Thank you!  My current requirement is to create the website where all solutions are combined into one searchable help site. When I attempted to do it, I noticed the Index, TOC and KI files get modified to the solution in question, but leaves the other files in tact it looks like.  Is there a way to combine them?

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the nice words!

While may not be elegant, there is a solution to that.

One option - you can generate solution-level help sites with an index page pointing to each of the solution sites. Modify the theme header with the link back to the index file. The downside of this option, the search will work only inside each solution.

Another option is to create one solution that includes ALL of your projects just for the purposes of building documentation. This will be a very resource-intensive route but with the 64-bit Visual Studio, it'd work.

Let me know if either of these is acceptable.

Thanks!

Hi Serge,

You are welcome!  Thank you for the quick reply and options for supporting the requirement.  Searching across solutions is a central driver for this, so option #1 is probably not so attractive.  At the same time, the nuances of combining all projects into one solution for the sake of documentation might be a little challenging as you pointed out. In any case, thank you again for the quick response and options!  I will have to do some experimentation and see how the 2nd option might work, and I will circle back and post the results.
Kind regards,
Brad

Hi Serge, sadly after cycling through the 2nd option 5 times with no success and watching the disc space get eaten up (180GB), I need some further advice.  You are right! It is resource intensive! Each time, the process would hang.  If left long enough, it would return
"There is not enough space on the disk"
That resulting disc space issue happened no matter the total of projects within the single solution.  The total is down to 11 but still unable to produce website.  Started at 200 projects, then 100, then 50, then 25, now 11... each time cleaning up residuals in the temp folders and such after it failed.  i.e. I get rid of all the files created during the process and make sure the space is back to 180GB Free Space.

From what I can discern, GhostDoc is consuming all of the 180GB of space available on disk during processing. It eventually fails when it runs out of disc space trying to gen docs for 200 projects or just 11 projects.

Wanted to circle back on results Serge and see if you have any advice for this support?  Or can provide maybe a set of resource prerequisites to handle such a use case?

I'm also curious as to why so much disc space is required?

Thank you!
-Brad
